I had a coyote try to attack my 60 Lb. golden retriever while I was walking her on a leash . We were along a four lane road on the sidewalk.

You can hear them howl eerily early in the am. We've lost at two cats to coyotes -- if you can't get the cats in at supper-time, well, one likes sitting on the garage roof, so he'll be okay.
