It don't make no sense what some have claimed that Joran lost a snicker and tried to match the remaining one with a similar one. Why not just make the other disappear?

Beats me what the sneaker means. I don't really believe that is the case considering the family was asked not to watch the pond draining. If they are just looking for a shoe, then why ask that of the family? Doesn't make sense to me. Unless the sneaker is just one thing they expect to find.

Here's a thought that's been bouncing around in my head. If the Kalpoe brother turned pale over hearing that he had been seen by the gardener, then how pale is he now that the gardener has given a statement? Is he spooked enough to break? Did he see the writing on the wall and give info that sparked interest in this pond and we just haven't heard about it yet?

Just some thoughts I throw out there to ponder.
