yep, I assume that people who had lived on that island for a few years would have ready access to a borrowed boat. And the ocean just makes sense to me. Maybe not initially but after a day or so. I think Paulus arranged it. And I think they are looking for evidence in that lake,,clothes of the boys, shoes, Nat's clothing, stuff like that.
