I have to disagree with the authors assessment of Boondocks. That strip appears to be fairly even handed in its punishment of any establishment. McGruders main focus seems to be on the things that drag blacks down. McDonalds and the pop or hip hop culture are quite often the targets of his ire. Most people cannot seem to get past the fact that he hates white people. That is a shame, because it can really be a bitingly funny cartoon. In truth, he slams on black culture far more than any thing else and he lampoons the things he sees as being bad for society. I think most people would enjoy it if they opened their minds a bit. That being said, my other favorite is Prickly City. I read both comics every morning for my balance. I read only those because the others bore me. I will see if Filmore is in the Libune because I will add that to my coffee routine.

Ummmm, yea, I guess I could have a problem laughing at a cartoon created by a guy who hates me because of my skin color.

I've read Boondocks quite a while, but it's getting old.
I agree he slams on black culture, and I don't think he does hate white people. I just get tired of the same rips day in, day out. That's why Doonesbury, Andy Capp, and a few other comics just aren't worth reading any more.
