I remain confused:
In the 'run up' to the election, regarding the name Kerry, didn't we hear he was:
-Roman Catholic (which would make sense as it seems to be an Irish surname)?
-Of Jewish descent?
-'Part French'?
(Given his track record in our election, I would say 'part French' was probably correct).
PULEEZE!!! there is not a drop of Irish blood in his body!!
Story goes that his grandfather didn't want to emigrate with the name Kohn? so he pointed to a map of Ireland and landed upon the name 'Kerry".
Kerry has attended numerous Boston St. Patrick's Day parades and breakfasts, always encouraging the idea that he was "irish"....never refuting it, until the Globe broke the story...
As for Roman Catholic, there will be fewer and fewer priests who will be willing to have their pictures taken giving Kerry and Kennedy Holy Communion, when the new Pope has at them.
He has French relatives. From back in WWII. He would go and stay with them summers, as the poor relative growing up.
