An additional point is that Osteen refrains from hammering his congregation with his political opinions. Nothing turns me off like going to church and having the pastor assume I'm a liberal Democrat.
What makes you think Osteen has any opinions, on anything?
The driving force of this type of church is the lack of any strong conviction on anything.
