Amazing stuff. I never realized that there was a correlation between Sahara dust and red tide although I figured it was something natural.
The Saharan dust clouds also signal the start of the Cape Verde season, possible big storms, as well as the rainy season in Africa. watch out for those huge balls of convection that stay together after leaving the African coast.
