Have you seen anything first hand, or is your impression swayed a bit from the constant repitition of the 'journalists' that he is a grandstander.
I have seen very little of substance about him, just this innuendo. I fear that even we, the informed about the political media, can get suckered from time to time.

He has kept a low profile, but his office started leaking to Newsweek indicating how tough he was on Rove's lawyer. The story also said that the media might have misjudged Fitzgerald. The message was clear: if he indicts a Bush official he will be a hero. Nice spreads in the NYT, WaPO, Newsweek, Time. The hero spread. If he doesn't he'll be almost dirt, not Starr, but close to.
