On Matthews Sunday Show, he put up a timeline graphic showing the contacts reporters had with Rove. His graphic only said, "Rove talked to Cooper", without the critical information that it was Cooper who called Rove.
It might be logical to conclude Rove wanted to pass classified information to Cooper IF Rove had instigated the call. But he didn't. Cooper called Rove. It's as if I plan to kill somebody, but only if they come over to my house, hand me the loaded gun, and wait for me to pull the trigger. Doesn't make sense.
Right about Cooper calling Rove. In fact, in all of the contacts I have heard about between reporters and the White House, it is always the reporter calling the WH. If this Plame/Wilson thing was a WH push to "get" Val & Joe, why are there no reporters coming forward to say, "Yes, Rove/Libby called me to push this story". I have not heard one reporter say that yet. Nor any leaks from the GJ to suggest it.
