Sierra Turner-James, who turns 3 next month, was taken early Sunday by Michael James, police said.
The 2-foot-5, 60-pound Sierra was last seen on Dorado Drive in Kissimmee and is believed to be in danger, authorities said. She was last seen wearing a pink T-shirt and a pink skirt.
Michael James, whose relationship to the child wasn't immediately announced, is 5-foot-9 and 190 pounds.
From the Kissimmee Police Dept. News Release:
.The suspect, identified as 28 year old Michael Ruben James, allegedly broke into the apartment through a kitchen window. The noise of the breaking glass alerted an adult male inside the apartment, and a struggle ensued between James and the male in the apartment. James then ran out of the apartment carrying 2-year-old Sierra Turner-James. James is possibly Sierra's father and is Sierra's mother's ex-boyfriend.
James does not have legal custody of Sierra. James is known to have violent tendencies and there is currently an injunction in place against James. Investigators have now initiated a Statewide Amber Alert for Sierra Turner-James and Michael Ruben James.
Anyone with information concerning this crime, or the whereabouts of Michael Ruben James and Sierra Turner-James should call CrimeLine at 800-423-TIPS(8477) to be eligible for a reward and remain anonymous or contact the Kissimmee Police Department at (407) 846-3333.

What can I say??? God help, protect, and save our children. There must be something civilized people can do to stop this. I know this one seems like some sort of family (?)dispute, but this poor little baby is missing no matter the reason. Please pray for the safe recovery of this child, and all others when you attend church today.

There sure are a lot of Amber alerts out of Fla. Whats wrong with those people down there?
To: Ludicrous
Yes, I wondered about that too. No pic of the child in the article, however. I did not check the Amber Alert web site yet.
With the article in the Orlando paper there was a small pic of the perp. I just couldn't bear to post it. It makes me sick to look at these men who do those things. Maybe someone else will have the stomach for it.

I gather Florida is where a lot of illegal aliens end up "parking."

Well, isn't that interesting!!!!! Sounds like a routine with this group. Wonder why that was not mentioned on FOX (which just announced this again) and is not in the Orlando newspaper article.
Thanks. This is upsetting. It seems like somebody needs to get these children away to a life less chaotic. Maybe from both the mother and (?) father.

I'm not making a joke here, but a 60 pound, 2-foot-5 3 year old should be easy to spot.

Thanks again. The Orlando paper now has pics of the girl. In reading all these articles, the ones from the May "kidnapping" and today's it appears both children are very heavy. Yet the pictures do not show they seem overly large. This is unusual. That weight does not, IMHO, seem to fit the pics.
Plus...the fact that this has happened a second time to the family, at the hands of the same perp. Someone needs to sit on this guy - big time. And someone needs to give mom some counseling, it appears to me.

This is a pic of the abducted girl, currently believed to be with the man who might be her father. (Ugh!) It just does not seem that she is 60 lbs. but maybe we can't tell in the pics. A few months ago she and her sister, or just one of the girls (the articles are not clear on exactly what happened) were abducted by the same guy. The younger sister (then 14 mo. old) was said to be 50 lbs. Her pic does not reflect that weight either, IMO. It seems the mom does not have a clue about the weight of her daughters (nor, perhaps, about life).

KISSIMMEE, FL -- There's an Amber Alert this morning for a young girl who authorities say was violently taken earlier today.
Sierra Turner-James turns 3 next month. She's 2-foot-5, and was last seen wearing a pink T-shirt and pink skirt.
Authorities say 28-year-old Michael James, who's 5-foot-9 and 190-pounds, took Sierra. Police tell First Coast News James broke into his ex-girlfriend's apartment early Sunday morning, and got into a struggle with another man. Police say he then grabbed Sierra and took off.
Police tell First Coast News this has happened before. They say James abducted Sierra last May. They say he took off with her one morning and was arrested by police that afternoon.
Police also tell us they worry that Michael James could leave the state because he has contacts in Virginia and New Jersey.
The Kissimmee Police Department is investigating, they can be reached 407-846-3333.
You can also call our partner, First Coast Crimestoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS. You will remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward.
