He's running against Eddie Baca, Nelson Denis, Joyce Johnson, Edwin Marcial, John Ruiz, Melissa Mark Viverito, and Gwen Goodwin. The GOP doesn't have a candidate in that district, so I'm guessing these are all Dems (the Board of Elections has helpfully omitted party affiliation in their latest list). It's a mostly Latino district, but Phil Reed is the term-limited councilmember.
