The new series SHOOTOUT! chronicles famous shootouts in history from the perspective of both sides of the fight. The series examines the personalities, the weapons, the firepower, and the leadership needed to defeat the enemy. Using 3D CGI animation sequences, audiences will experience the thick of battle from the points of view of the players themselves.
An endlessly fascinating subject for students of the tactical employment of firearms, just when you thought there wasn't anything worth watching on TV!
For your pinglist-
How about Philly, East St. Louis, Camden NJ, Milwaukee, or Chicago's south side? Now there's some shootouts there every night.
I saw the ads for "Shootout!" on TV and blew it off as just another Wild West show.
Stumbled on the segment about the Battle of Fallujah and was riveted to the set. First rate computer graphics and re-enactments showing the tactics and weapons used, as well as experiences told by those who took part.
They have me hooked.
The Falluja episode was great. These are the stories that need to be told in MSM but are not. These marines had to approach concrete buildings and room by room clear them. The enemy was lying in wait with automatic weapons. The unasked question was: once the enemy was trapped in the southern neighborhood, why didn't our guys demo the neighborhood with explosives and D9 Cats or why weren't they allowed to? Rather than having to expose our guys to their hidouts and taking casualties.
You should watch it sometime. It's not PBS.
They aren't revisionists or apologists, by a long shot.

"why didn't our guys demo the neighborhood with explosives and D9 Cats or why weren't they allowed to?"
What the hell are you asking? Do you want to win this war? That would have been the result. The cash register drawers would have closed with a bang loud enough to be heard at the next election.
