I wonder why he did it?

The end of the article says that the county dropped complicity to murder charges against the mother, but she's charged with felony criminal abuse of her other son (a 4-yr old) and endangering the welfare of both kids. Something bad was happening to these kids. No details, though.

One wonders if he killed the man to protect his mother, himself, or his little brother -- maybe a combination of all three? Regardless, I see little brightness in this child's future. What a damn waste.
