I think Mr. Carlin is wrong, There was no way we were going to effect a blockade of Japan with Naval forces we had or placed then in harms way due to "Kamikaze attacks." We would have eventually have had to invade the Japanese islands and the cost to us and the Japanese would have been in the millions.
Like some of the people in this survey I also believe we are in WWIII, or WWIV, if you consider the Cold War as WWIII, as some do.
It is easy to sit around and have a positive outlook on your future with others providing you security.
