Good for her because I think killing a baby in the womb is no different than killing a 3 year old.

You and I are on the same wave length. There is no more important issue to me when I am deciding how to cast my vote.

What's Mr. Bader-Ginsburg's position on this?
To: Past Your Eyes
Wife of nominee holds strong anti-abortion views. As all mothers and wives should.
To: No Blue States
Not just all mothers and wives, everybody should. I long for the day when abortion is thought of in the same way as child labor and slavery. Or at least as smoking and chewing tobacco...activities far less deadly than abortion.

"What's Mr. Bader-Ginsburg's position on this?"---Or Mrs. Souter's? Oh, wait a minute. There isn't any Mrs. Souter. At least not since David's mother passed away. Hmmmm. (Posted by an ashamed fellow citizen of the great Granite State of New Hampshire. Sorry. If only we had known then what we know now.)

I take back my post. At first I was thinking what she believes shouldn't make a difference but it does. If she was a pro abortion supporter I would have concerns. I guess it just depends if you stand for choose life or death.

A spouse's views normally are not considered relevant in weighing someone's job suitability. But . . . . But me no buts, LA Times. You too, Chuckie and Teddie. Lay off.

"I take back my post." ---Not sure why you think you have to take it back. It's a legitimate question.

Well, because when I posted it I was thinking she wasn't being nominated so it wasn't anyones business. If you reversed her position though I would feel differently. We have been burned by CINO being chosen before and I would be concerned on what values they shared.
To: CindyDawg
Yes, we certainly have been burned by CINOs. The most egregious example of that is Mister (in)Justice Souter from my home state. Sorry. We trusted Senator Warren Wonderful Rudman. Never should have. Can't take it back now. Too bad.

Was she nominated too? No, but there might be another opening soon
To: Always Right
Very true. If it happens soon, it'll be William Rehnquest. Look for Michael Luttig to succeed him.

Sounds like Little Dick the LaLaTimes Staff writer guy thinks that Roberts' wife should have the same opinions about things that her husband has. What a male chauvinist pig.
