I'm fortunate to be close with several refugees of Saddam's Iraq. Shiites who were forced out of their homes when Saddam purged powerful Shiites in the early 1970's. They are tremendous folks who have overcome a great deal of turmoil, and believe it or not, they are solid Republicans given that it was President Bush who freed their country. Many are working very hard to support the new government of Iraq, and our military members who are putting their lives on the line to bring freedom to the tens of millions of muslims living in Iraq.
So, I don't subscribe to the theory that all muslims are evil. Sorry. The folks I personally know want the same things the rest of us want, and abhor the violence committed by their fellow muslims as much if not more than non-muslims.
Still, they get absolutely no sympathy from me.
Take a look at the CAIR website and see if you agree with their positions.
They (CAIR/muslims/libs/dhimmicrats) are denigrating the US by their "Torture at Gitmo" statements.
Do your friends agree with CAIR?
