Did you find it strange that her party affiliation isn't mentioned in the article? For out-of-staters, wasn't clear that she was a Democrat. You'd think they'd have mentioned it.

Not a bit, when a Dim politician bites the big one, mention of party affiliation is extremely rare, and at most will be restricted to (D-Timbuktu) after their name early in the story. OTOH, if it's a Republican that steps on it with golf shoes, at minimum the party affiliation will be in the subtitle for the article, and perhaps in the title/headline itself. That's the way the press plays the game.

A majority of Republicans have more sense and sensitivity for the family than do a dirty trick like what she did.
