The above is a translation of messages appearing on July 20. Today boxan is providing a translation of part of the message, but a translation of the longer message seems more appropriate, in light of the WHO warning based on new H5N1 bird flu outbreaks in Indonesia and Russia.
The above exchange appears to be between two students in southeastern Qinghai Province. The commentary is unconfirmed, but if true, would certainly suggest a stage 6 pandemic in China.
China has not responded to the WHO request to visit neighboring Xinjiang Province, which is just south of the recent outbreak in Novosibursk, Russia. The WHO visit to Qinghai raised serious questions about additional information of the H5N1 at Qinghai Lake.
Other boxan reports detail 10 strains of H5N1 circulating in China, including 7 that have been found in humans.
These data, if true, would point toward a massive cover-up of a raging bird flu pandemic in China
There is no doubt that this can be traced back to the bent one.
Thanks - yes, sometimes I think the group of us that is following this pandemic closely is far too small - more of the main forum needs to see it. More of the "non-believers" need to be educated. They just don't go to the dedicated thread.
If you go back to the days before that thread existed, you'll see I was one of the frequent posters on this threat - back during SARS, when no one even differentiated between the various H(X)N(X) species. (Seems like Dr Niman only had two or three things posted on his "What's New" page then, and most of the info came from "the authorities".) Now we all know what liars those "authorities" are. I don't trust a single sentence from WHO or the CDC on this.

As the one who started the long-running surveillance thread on the subject, I hardly think that I've been ignoring the issue.
If true it's only a matter of time before the virus gets on a plane and disembarks in hundreds of directions on the other end.
If the IOC allows China to host the Olympics under these conditions they will be responsible for a world-wide disaster.

No - it is summer over there. That's the entire fricking point - this thing is mutating rapidly IN THE SUMMER. Now that it is in the flyways for migratory birds, what's going to happen this fall? The virus - in its' various forms - will be coming to the rest of the world, in a form that transfers from human to human.
If it is raging in China, and is capable of surviving on smooth surfaces for extended periods, what about that new Chinese crap you just bought at Wal Mart? Is it infected?
From other sources - ProMed - ocean birds have been washing up all along the coasts. These birds came into contact with the outbreak in China. THAT MEANS IT IS HERE.

If there was truly a super mutated human-infectious flu virus and it had been around for say a month in central China, it would certainly have already spread to Europe and N. America.
So far, no reports anywhere. Oh wait, maybe this is a MSM conspiracy. We are doomed. DOOMED.
