Bloomberg is an idiot. Not all terrorists are Asian men between 20 and 40 but every damn terrorist that has killed Americans these past 20 years is an Asian man between 20 and 40 with the notable exception of McVay and friends, may they rot in hell. PC gone wild.

Gosh darn! I do feel better knowing that the TSA was asking that little old caucasian man to take off his belt when I went through security at the airport recently. Seeing that little old fellow trying to maintain his balance while he struggled to take off his belt sure warmed my heart and made me know that I can sleep well at night since ALL the types of people who might be terrorists are being checked.

TSA is reading your mind. I saw their clowns shake down a family of four Norwegians in New York who were transferring to a US domestic flight. Mom, Dad and two boys ages 7 and 11. Little Olaf and Eric looked terrified taking off their shoes for Mineta's idiot-posse. Right after the Norwegians, the TSA boys turned their rapier-like wits to an American women, age approximately 80, giving her the full treatment as well.

The stupidity that now controls our culture leaves very little to say. If a person has lost that amount of abilty to use simple common sense then no amount of reasoning will open the eyes of the ignorant. Just hope they don't breed.

LONG before September 11, I worked in New York and was amazed just about every day that terrorism wasn't much more common than it is. Even back then, I wouldn't wait for my train in the concourse of Penn Station, I waited on the lower level where there are huge thick concrete pillars. Call me paranoid, but New York is one of the most vulnerable cities around.

These people are trying to kill us. When the profile shifts to suicide bomber grandmothers, boy scouts, middle aged white guys, blonde blue eyed clothing models, etc. then start profiling them. Until that happens the enemy is known to be middle eastern men that hijack air planes , bomb subways, bomb buses, bomb restaurants,etc. So far there have been no suicide terror attacks attributed to grandmothers, boy scouts, middle aged white guys, blonde blue eyed clothing models.
If they--the "authorities"-- don't know who they are looking for then we really are in trouble.
The some segments of the population are getting very tense and the potential for vigilante style revenge is just below the surface
Bumbling governmental responses to terrorists and those who harbor them is creating an angry segment in the population.
Maybe Bloomberg is saying one thing for public consumption and the police are doing something else: profiling without admitting they are profiling.
But I doubt it. A cop isn't going to go out on a limb and risk getting fired or jailed because someone complains that he is profiling. If anything, they will likely avoid searching too many middle eastern looking people, because they won't want to get into trouble with the system.
I saw a terrorism expert on C-Span (?) today who stated that our biggest hurdle is getting beyond the politically correct garbage that inhibits our ability to get serious.
