London Bombings Trouble Muslim Community

LONDON - Muslims gathered uneasily for afternoon prayers Friday, murmuring about fears of a backlash. A bomb threat forced the evacuation of one of London's largest mosques, and someone dumped gasoline near a suicide bomber's home.

A tremor of apprehension shook Britain's Muslim community of 1.6 million Friday after undercover officers on the London subway shot and killed a man described by witnesses as a South Asian.

The shooting followed a series of small bombings Thursday in which four men placed backpacks of explosives on three trains and a bus. The attacks came two weeks after four suicide bombers killed 52 other people on three London subways and a bus.

"We are getting phone calls from quite a lot of Muslims who are distressed about what may be a shoot-to-kill policy," said Inayat Bunglawala, Muslim Council of Britain spokesman.

One caller, he said, asked: "What if I was carrying a rucksack?"

Officers were operating on a "shoot-to-stop" policy when facing an imminent life threat, police said.

I'm sorry, but maybe the Muslim Community should take the plank out of their own eyes before being "troubled" about the speck of sawdust in someone else's eye. We're a little "troubled" by the situation, too, because I seem to recall that it was 4 members of the Muslim Community that just blew up more than 50 innocent people in London. We're really sorry that maybe somebody got a little mad and dumped some gasoline near a Muslim's house, and that you are distressed about it. Maybe you should police your own community a little bit before bitching that the police are giving Muslims the hard eye after a streak of suicide bombings by Muslims!

Wonder why these things never troubles them:

Saudi Arabia - Conversion by a Muslim to another religion is punishable by death. Bibles are illegal. Churches are illegal.

Yemen - Bans proselytizing by non-Muslims and forbids conversions. The Government does not allow the building of new non-Muslim places of worship.

Kuwait - Registration and licensing of religious groups. Members of religions not sanctioned in the Koran may not build places of worship. Prohibits organized religious education for religions other than Islam.

Egypt - Islam is the official state religion and primary source of legislation. Accordingly, religious practices that conflict with Islamic law are prohibited. Muslims may face legal problems if they convert to another faith. Requires non-Muslims to obtain what is now a presidential decree to build a place of worship.

Algeria - The law prohibits public assembly for purposes of practicing a faith other than Islam. Non-Islamic proselytizing is illegal, and the Government restricts the importation of non-Islamic literature for distribution.

Jordan - Has the death penalty for any Muslim selling land to a Jew.

Sudan - Conversion by a Muslim to another religion is punishable by death.

Pakistan - Conversion by a Muslim to another religion is punishable by death. Bans proselytizing by non-Muslims. Christians regularly put in prison for charges of blasphemy.

Two weeks after the bombings and the Muslims have managed to make themselves into the "victims" whining about dirty looks and some woman's hijab made fun of. 50 dead bus and subway riders--not as bad as one Muslim's "humiliation."

Don't you just love how these "peaceful" and "harmless" "majority of" Muslims allow "a tiny minority of teachers of false Islam" like Sheik Omar Bakri Muhammed and Imam Captain Hook to overrun their mosques?
