a thought: what about the women who commit this crime?

Can you cite an instance where a woman committed a violent sex crime against a child under age 12?

It may have happened but it would be extremely rare.

What is a "violent sex crime"? Depending on the defination, a woman would be quite capable of committing such an offense.

everything that I have read says that women make up about 5-10% of all offenders...it is true that they are not usually as "violent" (using drugs/alcohol to entice rather than force, but to me hurting any kid in this manner IS violent) and it is true that many of those are facilitators or reluctant partners--meaning that they aid an adult male b/c of some kind of fear of battery or abandonment and usually it is the woman's own female child that is hurt

not as common as male scum, but it does happen

one case that comes to mind: Carla Harris..accused of hurting a 3 year old (for some reason her name sticks with me...there have been other cases but I can't remember names)

also with women..this society, for some reason, thinks it isn't as bad or feels some kind of compassion for the woman (she was abused or hurt herself--boo hoo)...or they make jokes (like with that young blond teacher and the pre/early-teen boys) so it is often overlooked or downplayed
