If it wouldn't turn them into martyrs for those jabbering jackals in Mecca, I'd much prefer we killed anyone with an Al Qaeda connection. Kick in the door, bullet right through the head, end of discussion.
Detention, making them live in shame and die in shame is a reasonable alternative.

Oh BTW I sent a fan mail letter to the care of the Arsenals for Fredrik Lunjberg and I had to go to a US Post office to send it then I had to declare what was in the package.

A few years ago there was a Prime Suspect mystery in that fine series with Helen Mirren, one of the later stories...shot in London...at one point the cops converge on the Thames and find a body. Looming in the background is what looks like a huge, huge blue mosque under construction. I saw this after 9/11, but don't know exactly when this segment was filmed, but I saw that mosque and had a sense of how far London had gone toward accomodating Islam and my jaw hit the floor. Presumably recent events indicate a sea change, except perhaps the Lord Mayor of London, who can be counted upon to make a public statement that humiliates himself yet again.
