This article was nothing compared to the one in the NYT that was written to insinuate that Roberts was possibly gay.

You've got to be kidding. I wish one of these idiots would ever say anything again about "the politics of personal destruction",and just one high level highly-visible Republican leader would ever have the cojones to call them on it.

The NYT ran article discussing the fact that Roberts attended an all boys Catholic school, played on the wrestling team where he had to grappe on the ground with sweaty bodies of other boys and played the part of Peppermint Patty in a school play. They followed that up with pictures of him in a wrestling uniform and one in a pair of plaid pants. The tone of the whole article was that the guy isn't exactly a man's man, or maybe he is exactly that.
