There are currently no plans by the Department of Homeland Security to use civilian volunteers to patrol the border," spokesman Brian J. Roehrkasse said. "That job should continue to be done by the highly trained, professional law enforcement officials."

You've got to question a government that alleges that one needs to be "Highly trained" to stop and apprehend individuals that cross our borders illegally.

They are talking about border patrol, not flying 747s or heart surgery.

Yeah, I noticed the glaring and unsual presence of the use of the word, "professional..." in the denial statement.

They're law enforcement...people respect that (most of us), but once people start asserting the "we're professionals" tag (unless they have medical or law degrees, have otherwised earned and received a 'doctorate' of some sort), there's a problem.

In the method it's used in that statement ("highly trained professional.."), they're making some additional statement that indicates a covert purpose, to my view.

It's just not necessary language and it's also inaccurate language, which is why I say it indicates some covert intention in that statement.
