Happened over here about a month ago and I didn't have my camera with me. The sun was hitting the trailing edge of a 'contrail' at just the right angle and the trail looked like a rainbow ribbon. A very rare phenomenon. But the colors looked a little strange. As if the contrail contained a chemical, or oily substance.
It probably does - jet fuel. I think a lot of it gets dumped over DFW.
