We are talking costs far beyond price to pump the oil.

The costs per barrel would sky rocket; paying $10 per gallon given the scenario (nuked Saudi Arabia and/or Iran, 1000's dead, ten of thousands injured, uprising throughout the country, and the world, possible nukes being launched by NK. How would that impact the US and the West?

Throughout the world you will see massive unemployment as energy costs go through the roof, markets crashing throughout the world, peoples life savings wiped out overnight. Imagine the costs in lives of our military as they attempt to secure the oil fields of the country they just nuked, as well as, the oil fields of Iraq (do you think the Iraqi's would stick by us after this?).

Now contemplate a nuclear strike by NK fearing they are next (Consider Iran if they have the bomb when this occurs). Will SK and/or Japan, possibly America be hit? Imagine the cost in people than. In total the costs of dropping that nuke will make today's costs look trivial in comparison.

If that is where this leads us, the nuking of an oil rich country, we best be prepared for the affect of such an act.

I pray we exhaust all other options before we take such an action.

IMHO

All the more reason to build up the Strategic Petroleum Reserve that Gore sold off to his buddies, and to drill ANWR.

There's going to be a LOT of blood spilled before this is over. Better theirs than ours, and better early, before Iran has the bomb, and before NK has many of them, than later.

Delay only helps the other side.

YMMV, but my preference is to treat a cancer aggressively and early.
