If I were to rank the pleasantness of my customers by race and the ease of dealing with them it would go like this(best being first and last being worst).
1. Hispanics: Friendly and willing to pay the price quoted. Almost never get in the way of doing the job.
Blacks:Friendly, good conversation while working almost never rude, never interfere with the job, always pay the price quoted.
Whites: Usually nice but can be rude or dismissive. Usually pay the price quoted but can be known to ask for discounts. Sometimes stay out of the way but not always.
Asians; Generally very nice. Like to get a deal after being quoted price but not pushy. Usually supervise work but do not get in the way.
Indian(dots not feathers):Almost always try to talk down from quoted price and are aggressive but nice in doing so. Always question your work and usually ask for extra to be done. Will bargain w/ a smile on their face and are generally friendly customers.
Mid Eastern: Always want better deal than agreed price once the job is done. Sometimes friendly but usually only to get deal. Ready to accuse of being cheated and not afraid to do so to get a deal. Will refer me to family even after arguing price and accusing me of cheating them. Are not loyal to me as a company if my price is only slightly higher than a unknown company. Generally lie to me about the price I quoted over the phone vs. price charged. "The guy on the phone said $200 and you say $225, what is the deal my main man?"
"I am the guy you spoke with on the phone and you know I said $225."
I guess the reason I said all that is because I was thinking how blacks sometimes get a bad rap because of stupid storys like this. One person makes an ass of themselves and somehow blacks are tainted with it. Whites could pass this off as just some nut on the bus and it wouldn't touch them.
