Re: your Post #38. Great comments. I think you are entirely correct.

Those in the Muslim world are more than happy to kill each other for internal political or tribal reasons or for differences in theology. But, when the infidels get involved, they generally ultimately close ranks as brothers with other Muslims. As you say, their ultimate loyalties lie elsewhere and that is with the Ummah.

These people need complete individual internal makeovers, a change of heart and theological persuasion. I'm dubious even such undertakings as we are involved with in Iraq will ultimately succeed. I suspect in time that entire region will break up into religious and tribal factions and end in failure because Sharia Law will prevail as that is the Muslim way. A written Constitution will simply not go deeply enough in liberalizing these societies.

The only thing which will ultimately succeed is their personal and widespread conversion to another religion such as Christianity, especially Christianity, as that gives a genuine change of heart. Frankly, that job is the work of the Holy spirit. All we can do is try and open up these societies enough so the Spirit can more easily work against the theological cement these people find themselves bound fast within.

In WWII, all Japanese divisions fought with uncommon valor for their new homeland (US).

Yep.

Whereas Muslims seem to go out of their way to avoid strongly and publicly denouncing their terrorist brethren.

Your point is most excellent.

I am making a different point.

That may be so, but still... it's entirly unclear to you would reply to me telling squirt-gun about Albania if you only wanted to talk about London not not Albania. But in any case...

So that's precisely why you should stick to the points I am raising

Ok. The point your making is where is the protest in London by Muslims against the bombing. As I said before I don't know. I don't know where anything in London is. I don't know where Big Ben is. I don't know where the river is. I wouldn't know where, or even if, you can buy tea in London. I don't know where the royal palaces are. I know there's guys with big furry hats... but I don't know why, and I certainly don't know where. I don't know where the London bridge is, except that it's probably not in London because I heard the London bridge was falling down about thirty years ago. And lastly, I most certainly don't know where specific groups of people are or are not doing specific things in London. Once again, if you tell me people are not doing things you'd like to see them do in London, I won't disagree because I'm not in a position to tell you anything about where stuff is or is not going on in London. I hope I've made this clear by now. London? I don't know. I don't know London.

Come on I hope you aren't implying I have made this point?

No, but others have many times on FR. Which is why I started posting in this thread. Not to debate something about London (London? I don't know London.) I won't get sucked into a debate about where Muslims are or are not protesting in London (London? I don't know London.) any more than I'll get into a debate about where Muslims are or are not protesting on the moon (The moon? ...). I've never been to either place, and I will, (and already have on serveral occasions), readily admit my ignorance about who's there, what they do and whereabouts they do it. I realize you want to discuss London with someone, but I'm not the guy to discuss London with, I don't know much about London. I just don't know. I don't know London. If you don't want to talk about Muslims in Albania who are on the right side of the war, contrary to the articles premise, which by the way was the topic of my original post, I'm afraid I can't tell you anything new about anyone in London. The reason being of course, that I just don't know London. If you take only one thing away from this post, let it be this... I don't know London.

Only because it's something I would not dispute

Interesting...well then I'd say BRAVO for Albania.

Now if every other predominantly Muslim country and all the moderate Muslims in London as well as other Western nations were as courageous in taking resolute stands against the 'bad apples' in their midst maybe we could make real progress in ending radical Islamic terrorism.

But they arent and that isnt happening.

I appreciated Lindey;s commments, too, but wish he'd mentioned our pals, the Saudi's, who are sending us a new ambassador, and one with blood on his hands. Maybe in another essay.
