Do not trust Musharraf.
I'm not sure I trust him, but our biggest catches have come in that country with his assistance. Compare that to how many we've caught in Iran.
The cynic in me says he is in no hurry to capture bin Laden. As long as bin Laden is on the loose in Pakistan, Musharraf has leverage to pry concessions and money out of Washington. When Washington starts to become impatient, he simply cranks up the pressure, kills or captures some of bin Laden's lieutenants, and assures Washington that he is oh-so-close to busting bin Laden himself. Just six more months and $100 million in aid, and he'll nab him for sure. And on, an on, and on, just like Lucy holding the football for Charlie Brown to kick.
Once bin Laden is caught or killed, there is no more cash cow for Musharraf to milk.
Dog is now channeling me.
