Hi kingu-
If any wealthy FReepers can front the money, would you be willing to take two bullets to the arm if you're promised $70,000 at the conclusion of the experiment? We'll arrange later if they will be rifle or handgun rounds.
Awaiting your response...

Sure, I'd go for that. Wouldn't mind having the cushion, nor the time off. But this is an apples/oranges comparison. You're intentionally shooting me in the arm, vs cops who felt they were trying to save lives. Not the same at all, and I'm highly unimpressed with everyone who thinks that Monday morning quarterbacking is all that great.
Officers responded as backup to a call at the end of a police chase where a man with a rifle was shooting at officers. The guy on top of the building was in the direction of the report of gunfire. You'll excuse me if I don't believe that cops are supposed to be supermen who can see all, know all.

I think they guy deserved a lot more than $70K, but I don't think it should have come from the pocked of taxpayers. It should come directly from the police officer's own pockets - even if that means going to their pension fund. It's time the actual people responsible are brought to justice - not the taxpayers.
