Maybe there are no accents in your area but last week a lady along Rt 31 south told us "jist go dawn tha rote to Vii-anna and turn lift".....We were to go down the road to Vienna....my sis, bil and I all laughed, but none of us had any trouble knowing what she was saying.
I'm from Michigan, near Toledo & have a Toledo-Cleveland-type accent, or so I've been told.
While on the Indiana turnpike last week the toll taker had a very Southern Indiana accent. Cracked us up. My husband knew 'cause his grandma was from down there.
