Read over my post again, Roberts IS like a Rehnquist... I'm talking about the NEXT vacancy... That is the one that needs to be "like a Rehnquist" because if not, and it's like an O'Connor, we didn't gain squat... : )

The next one will be a rock ribbed conservative (either a woman or hispanic). I tend to think it will be a woman, and then he can nominate Gonzales to replace Stevens or Ginsberg. One or the other will be leaving the court in the next 2 1/2 years. By that time there will be a solid constructionist majority and even the base won't object to Gonzales.
