He did have one redeeming quote. When Bush won the election from Gore in 2000, he said "Our long national nighmare is over". Remember that? I loved it!
You have misread Graham from the beginning about this. During the first interview he had, BEFORE "mr constituent" even understood the "deal", Graham said that USSC was NOT E.C. -
(pssst. I think Plame/Wilson are double agents - a Hanson re-run?)
Born in Buffalo, NY. Which Chuckie and Hillie should keep in mind while thinking about bashing Buffalo's native son...
Says 'The American people aren't going to put up with this crap from the Judiciary Committee.' Yes, he said crap. Alan throws a little hissy and the Senate repeated his statement! LOL! Good for you, Senator!
LMAO - did you hear Hatch's remark about the American people are not going to put up with the crap of the hard left? Like...in their face. Never heard Hatch come down like that before.
How do you know that? I've been reading, screaming at the dims on TV and cooking.....
I see your point, but I don't agree with it.
This is the best time for Roberts, because there is no possibility that will Bush will lose. Bush does not want problems with his first nominee, and the precedent set by an easy confirmation will put more pressure on the Democrats the second time around to get on with it.
Also, this pick will have a demoralizing effect on the Liberals. They have been preparing for this for 5 years now, and it will all go down the tubes in a couple months. If (when) the Liberals lose this one, they will either be more crazy the next time around; losing more support, or they will throw in the towel and give up.
Having Roberts go first will set the template for future nominees, and the confirmation process against Liberal opposition. 1 - 0 versus liberals is better than 0 - 1.
Well said! I'm lso of that era & have been Republican all my adult life!
If Levin says he good. That's the final answer!
I'll toast to that!!
I saw that too. Know the enemy. The more they fight Roberts or insist on their Kerry Edwards stickers, they more they will be going down futile roads where they can be of limited damage and harm to us. They are so stupid, so stupid. It is their arrogance, part and parcel of the liberal personality, that makes them stupid and poor at tactics and strategy.
ROTF!!!! Talk about an exercise in futility!!! Jeepers creepers, can they come any dumber.
I missed that.. Darn!
Too bad he didn;t have his banjo with, he should have sung a few more verses of that tune. ;-)
Aren't these the same people who keep screaming about how Saddam had NOTHING to do with 9-11?
You know it is not very often Hatch does well...but he has his moments. I love it. God I love it when a plan comes together.
Wait till they find out that Rove was a key player in making this choice. I bet he was. I hope they leak it.
I know that O'connor said that. My point was the the RATS, congress etc. also know her husband is ill. She won't want this to drag on and on and on. If it should, the Pubs could use it against the RATS at some point I should think.
Leaky made particular efforts to emphasize how Looong a process this was going to be in an effort to not be boxed into the timeline the Pres set for the next seating.
