you may remember during the prop 187 election that san diego sheriffs stood by as a group of mexican high school students beat up a white guy.
the mexican kids had been released from school by their teachers to protest. they had large, over-sized mexican flags.
they burned an american flag. this white guy tried to stop it and they beat him up. the sheriffs stood nearby and watched.
i'm not sure these protest and counter protest events are wise. they polarize issues. that's a tactic of the left.
