Howard Dean: 'Bible Says Nothing About Gay Marriage'
Juiceenewsdaily ^ | June 23, 2005 | Landon Howell

(JND) - As I sat down to read through some scripture Thursday night, I reached for the remote to turn off the already-turned-on TV.

It was then that a sit-down session between Jon Stewart and Howrad Dean on Comedy Central's The Daily Show caught my attention. Howard Dean speaking on national television...it's like watching a car crash in slow-motion.

I couldn't resist.

I set down my Bible, turned on the laptop, and prepared my fingers to record what sound bytes might spew from Dean's mouth. I didn't have to wait for long.

"I have yet to find a reference to gay marriage in the Bible." said Dean...

...I'm not the first, and I won't be the last to say this: "Howard Dean, you sir are a complete idiot."

...In a Q&A session by GotQuestions.org: "The Bible clearly and consistently tells us that homosexual activity is a sin (Genesis 19:1-13; Leviticus 18:22; Romans 1:26-27; I Cor. 6:9). God does not create a person with homosexual desires. A person becomes a homosexual because of sin( Rom 1:24-27), and ultimately because of their own choice. A person may be born with a greater susceptibility to homosexuality, just as people are born with a tendency to violence and other sins. That does not excuse the person choosing to sin by giving into their sinful desires. If a person is born with a greater susceptibility to anger/rage, does that make it right for them to give into those desires? Of course not! The same is true for homosexuality."

The Q&A also goes on to say, "To give sanction to homosexual marriage would be to give approval to that lifestyle, which the Bible clearly and consistently condemns as sinful. I believe that Christians should stand firmly against the idea of gay marriage....

Hey I know Dr. Demento, Dr. Demento is a friend of mine, Howard Dean is no Dr. Demento ; >

****

Wasn't he the DJ who discovered and promoted Weird Al Yankovic?

I went to the same little college that Dr. Demento went to. He was a music major but (as he put it) he realized the only musical instrument he was able to play well was the phonograph. He would drop by the old college once in a while to play records live for current students. (This was circa 1980.) He would play the wonderful stuff he played on the air. Then he would play things he wasn't able to play on the air. Suitably tasteless but very funny.

they call thursday "man-day"

Reminds me of a joke. Some poor fellow dies and goes to Hell. He's sitting there, glum, when a demon passes by. The demon sees him and asks why he's so depressed looking. The guy says, "well, I'm in Hell, right?" The demon says to him: "Cheer up -- we have a good time here. Mondays, we gamble, horses, cards, you name it. Tuesdays, we do drugs. Cognac, heroin, name your pleasure. Wednesdays -- say, are you gay or bi or anything?" The guy says, "uh, no, not really". The demon replies, "ooh, you're not going to like Wednesdays."

Medical schools are (usually) not biased one way or another as far as Dems and Pubbies go (not really applicable to Anatomy or Histology, the 2 most difficult courses in med school).

Dean felt relatively comfortable lying to Jon Stewart about the Bible and what it might have to say about gay relationships, since he knows that Jon's knowledge of the Bible is even less than his. The risk of contradiction is practically zero. Dr. Demento is used to making these high risk political decisions on the spur of the moment. It's what made him such a formidable Presidential candidate.

Well, he's got a point. Of course he leaves out the fact that the Scriptural silence on the 'issue' follows from the impliciat assumption that the, shall we say, 'consummation' of such a 'marriage' gets both 'spouses' stoned to death for abhomination.

"How did Dean make it thru medical school?"

...always keep in mind that 50% of all doctors graduated in the bottom half of their class.

Man oh man, is this going to haunt them come election time 2008.

It won't help much in 2006 either. But you raise an interesting point--Dean allegedly is pursuing a strategy to implant viable 'rat parties in the red states, to have a "fifty state strategy". To do so, he has implied that he believes he can seduce "moderate" and swing voters, and has hired the loathsome narcissistic fraud Jim Wallis to "con the Christians."

But this pattern of relentlessly ridiculous and insulting statements about Christians and Christianity seems to be 180 degrees opposed--he cannot believe he is winning votes from the red end of the spectrum with this drivel.

So the question is, Why is Dean making these apparently self-defeating statements? The only thing I can come up with is, he is so desperate for funds for '06 that he must continually play to the base for fundraising at the expense of party building. Which means, he is in no condition to challenge the red states for supremacy, which means the 'rats are indeed headed for more losses and longterm decline.

***No "Gay marriage" referenced in the Bible? Unbelievable! Also, there is probably no reference to "Gay Pride" in the Bible. And, these lack of references means?

Dr. Howard Dean is a loony idiot. He is the perfect discognitive spokesman for the Democrat party.

Easy. Rich kids can always make it through medical school. Look at the Swimmer's nephew, the smirking rapist Kennedy geek. Stupid as a box of rocks, but he's Dr. Rocks to his victims...er...patients.

Hey, stupid Howie, The Bible says absolutely nothing about Islamic terrorism, but any idiot who's got the IQ of a toaster can figure it out by way of deductive OR inductive reasoning from the scriptures.
