Guys who could never get a job anywhere else in the state end up in Camden.

I seem to remember that a few years ago, the city of Camden went bankrupt and was taken over by the state of NJ.

Do you know if that is true? If so, does Camden still have a police department, or is it under the juristiction of the NJ State Police?

IF memory serves, the state stepped in and cleaned a few things up, (gave them a ton of money to try and develop the waterfront) but they've got their own police (make that "police") force and a mayor (usually in various stages of conviction).  A third world country you don't need a passport to go see.
