A fellow judge in N.O. just said in an interview that Clement is unquestionably a conservative. People are forgetting that in her discussion of R v. W being settled law is that she said that from the position of a circuit court judge, so it was, at her level. (I suspect it will continue to be settled law until a huge majority of Americans are strongly against abortion--and I don't mean according to one or two of those polls we usually don't believe in.)
The more I'm hearing about her, the more I like the choice.
