Acceptable to who? Dingy Harry, Ted "Swimmer" Kennedy, or the folks who elected George Bush, in part to put orginalists on the Court who would *enforce* the Constitution, not "interpret " it.
They were speaking of Santorum's Office so I assume it was acceptable to him which I think would mean it was acceptable to many more people too.
