----The silver-haired, jut-jawed officer, who rose through the ranks quickly in Europe during World War II and later became superintendent of West Point, contended the United States did not lose the conflict in Southeast Asia.----

And he was absolutely damned right. RIP, sir.

He's right about that. It was given away by our democratic politicians.

The military did a good job in Viet Nam. Especially good considering they had to do the job with one hand tied behind their back, thanks to micromanagement by LBJ and McNamara (don't get me started on that useless POS), turncoat traitor Attorney General Ramsey Clarke, and of course Walter Krankheit (german for sickness). The real beginning of "Hate America" media, where even though the US troops achieved military victory during the Tet Offensive, it wasn't reported as such by Krankheit and the MSM. It's a quagmire, our troops are getting slaughter, ad infinitum ad nauseum. Shortly after the Viet Nam War I was in Air Force ROTC at NJIT. My sister was a fully indoctrinated lefty in grade school, so I got the "blue meanie" and "how many babies did you burn" line at home.
