I'm squarely in the "nerd" camp. However, "Hey, baby, I'm a rocket scientist" is not nearly as successful as one might wish. And neither is "I have over 1200 books" or "I collect fossils and meteorites" or "I'm working on a book about unbuilt US bomber projects."

Where are the nerd girls?!?!?!

Don't go with that. Say, "Hey baby, I can send you to the Moon and back."

Works like a charm.
