Odd ... none of my classmates suffered from autism or ADHD or any of these other 'neurological' diseases. Not a one! Back then boys could be boys. It was expected that they would use recess to settle scores in the school yard. Now, boys are expected to sit quietly behind their desks, hands folded, just like the girls.
