London, like Madrid last year and New York on 9/11, has been attacked by radical Islamic terrorists. Yet, on the day of the attack we hear the never-ending whine of "blame America."
Somehow, anti-American zealots reason that because America liberated the people of Afghanistan and Iraq, it is our fault terrorists are targeting civilians. It is time for the world and many Americans to understand regardless of how much you dislike George W. Bush, these terrorist attacks have been coming since the 1970s.
The excuses used by these terrorists have run the gamut from U.S. support for Israel to U.S. military presence in Saudi Arabia to America's decadent society. It is long past time we woke up and realized we are actually confronted by evil in its purest form.
History teaches us the Nazis demonized the Jews and blamed them for Germany's internal problems. Likewise, many Middle Eastern despots have demonized America, blaming us for their countries' lack of progress economically or militarily.
A recent example is Saddam Hussein in Iraq. After a coalition of nations forced him from Kuwait, the neighbor he invaded in 1990, he blamed America for the economic conditions of Iraq. During this time, he openly supported terrorist acts in Israel, provided sanctuary and training camps for terrorist organizations and stands accused of bribing United Nations officials through the Oil for Food program.

London attacks should be a wake-up call
