I keep hearing this same story about the early 90s but nobody seems to be able to point to a source. Did Aldrich Ames expose all our covert agents, since he seems to be the primary reference in these assertion. I am not disagreeing, but I would like to be able to cite a source when making this point to a skeptic.

I have not seen actual documents posted to that effect,but it has been written that Ames told the Russian "KGB" about a number of "coverts",she being one of them and for her safety was brought home. The angle mentioned before about her being non covert for several years but working on the WMD gig at the CIA is VERRRRRY intriguing. I wonder how Porter Goss is handling all this garbage?

From what I've read, they don't know everyone he exposed -- they just thought (justifiably IMO) it was safest to remove anyone he was in a position to have outed.
