"A minute into MTP and it's already off to a bad start."
Yep, during the intro to the program, I'm sure I heard Timmy say 'a CIA OPERATIVE' - based on everything I've heard and read here (a lot) she was NOT an OPERATIVE!

I would be willing to bet big buck$ that Wilson and/or Schumer called CBS and ASKED to be on today. What new lies will they spew in their efforts at CYA?

The MSM is hoping people aren't smart enough to distinguish between an operative and someone who works for the CIA.
Not a lot of balance in this "interview".

Actually, that was the juiciest part, rest is usual, with the headline Bush is mum on Rove. Here 's another,
Karl Rove's version of events now looks less like a smear and more like the truth: Mr. Wilson's investigation, far from being requested and then suppressed by a White House afraid of its contents, was a low-level report of not much interest to anyone outside the Wilson household.
Nada-gate - NYTimes surprises even more.

Obviously Russert turned them down.

I believe this is the root cause for the left. They cannot accept the voters decision, and they want to continue arguing until everyone comes around to their superior wisdom and leadership.
To: Seattle Conservative
Geez. Hope everyone is watching the British Open instead of this.
To: newconhere
I cant believe Wilson is actually going to do this, now. Face the Nation ought to be interesting lets just hope Bob S. has all of his notes current and straight? yea right. A question that will never be asked by the liars of the media.
Mr. Wilson you say that the Bush Administration was attacking you but since all the intelligence investigations by The USA and Britian show that the President was correct in his statements about the uranium and in fact you were the one lying about what the CIA reports contained.
Why shouldn't we conclude that it was you who had indeed launched a political attack and that the Administration was simply trying to defend themselve the best way they could without compromising classified information.

What new lies will they spew in their efforts at CYA?They only have one avenue left: flog the "victim whistleblower" angle.
I'm always amazed at how the public buys into that storyline. Question: Given Wilson's proven lies, why does the media not see Cheney as a victim and Rove as the whistleblower?
Uh...never mind.
I missed the first part of MTP...did Cooper say anything new?

No bet. The left is better in getting people on these programs. They want to give Wilson every opportunity to prove his side of the argument, which they universally agree with regardless of the truth.

"Mr. Bush made no public statements about Mr. Rove, and during a trip to North Carolina ignored questions from reporters about whether he still had faith in the political strategist he has called the "architect" of his 2004 re-election. At one point the president answered a question about Mr. Rove with nothing more than a quick brush-off of his hand toward the reporter."
Shoo fly. :-D

The only relevant statement by Cooper was that the WH was conducting a "War on Wilson"

Indeed I would not be surprised if they tried to do Rove for naming the tea lady at the CIA (years ago in Britain large companies and organisations used to have someone come round in the morning and afternoon with a tea trolley with tea and biscuits or cakes - unfortunately the vending machines have replaced them)
