Help! My "You have Mail" is constantly highlighted
Posted on 07/16/2005 11:57:39 AM PDT by joesbucks
When I log into FR my "you have mail" is highlighted. When I click the link, no new mail has been received. It won't reset. How can I get this repaired?

You have an unread incoming mail. Look way down your list and you'll find it.

Already checked. And can't be. I don't get that much and always read what I get.

If you are logged in and have read all your email...then log out and clear your cookies and then log back in.
To: joesbucks
I had this same thing for a couple of days - but then it disappeared, all by itself.

We could keep sending you mail and then it would be right.
To: joesbucks
either you have an unread email or your cookies are a bit old....
To: joesbucks
A little WD40 and duct tape should fix it up good.

Open each incoming email. One of them didn't close properly.

wasn't trying to be....

That'll work for most things, but you must remember to put the duct time one first and then the WD40.
(Duct tape won't stick on WD40. Army 100 mph tape will.)

Open everything, then close everything, then delete everything, then exit out, then log off, then delete all your old cookies, then shut down. Go to the kitchen, get some cookies and milk, log on while eating the cooking and drinking the milk. If this doesn't work try some different cookies, maybe something with chocolate in.
