If the Republicans refuse, accuse the Republicans of a "coverup".

I've heard the old Watergate mantra: "It's not the crime, it's the coverup" a few times in the last week. I expect to hear it a lot in the next few months.

I'm sure the WH lawyers were there to stop the President from getting on the RED phone and calling for operation Expose Plame.

Listened to a Rush replay this morning. He noted that the Left are rolling out their talking points. The word of the day on Wednesday was "stonewall". Yep, the Left are going to gin up a controversy around GW, and accuse him and the Republicans of a "coverup", etc., all designed to deligitimize any conservative SCOTUS appointment. To the Left, forget the WOT, this (the culture war) is the REAL war.
