SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - An Islamic religious leader held on immigration charges as part of an investigation into terror activity in the agricultural community of Lodi agreed Friday to be deported to Pakistan along with his son. Muhammed Adil Khan, 47, and his 19-year-old son, Mohammad Hassan Adil, admitted overstaying their visas. In exchange, immigration authorities at a brief hearing in an immigration court dropped other allegations that the two misrepresented themselves to obtain religious visas.

Makes you wonder how many are here, though. It's just a matter of time.
Could say that they were "rendered" over to Pakistan? Just curious.....
Thousands and thousands of the more militant-capable type, unfortunately... and they keep coming, no matter what the Gubamint says or does.
Leaky borders, leaky minds ..
" ... dropped other allegations that the two misrepresented themselves to obtain religious visas."
"Religious visas"? I may be the last one in creation to find out, but I didn't know there was such thing as a "religious visa". What's the scam? Can anyone here clue me in? Can you actually get a visa you wouldn't otherwise be eligible for, just for being a wacko fundamentalist imam, or whatever? Thanks.
I'll bet ya a dime this clown will be back in action somewhere else, France, Britain, Netherlands, Germany, whatever. No way is he going to stay in some sh*hole in the PAK, after living a probable life of luxuary in Cali.
Right you are! We will meet these guys again.
This is how Bush fights a "war on terror"? What a joke we must be to the world.
Oh, Lord, Im glad they're not stuck in Lodi again!
I just read your post to my wife and she went off! Still raving, but at least she went downstairs.
She says that our brave G.I.'s are fighting to keep terrorists out of Iraq and we're sending more over there. I have to laugh............she's still ranting.
I guess this is what our President means when he says we will fight the terrorists "over there" rather than here. We had better wake up soon or I fear what is in store for our country.
Gotta go try to calm her down..........
"Gotta go try to calm her down.........."
Some times it is a bit hard to stay calm. The problem with this one is that if all he can be accused of is his visa running out, then immigration law kicks in probably where the standard thing is to deport the individual(s). So lets be carefull not to jump on the POTUS back. Probably nothing he can do within the law to do otherwise, and he man not be aware of it, for all we know.
One things for certain, we honor and salute our brave warriors as they carry out their MO with honor and committment.
"......he [Bush] man [may] not be aware of it, for all we know."
With all due respect to President Bush, if he didn't know about it then that proves what big trouble we're in. I don't want to be argumentative, but I am sure he was, at the bare mimimum briefed on the terror cell in Lodi.
(sarcasm) He was probably so busy preparing his next speech explaining his open-border stance that he forgot all about it. Or, pushing to reverse the latest SCOTUS decision that ripped our right to own property from the Constitution.
I voted for the guy and think he's basically a good fellow, but not presidental material. Never again will I be forced to vote for the lesser of two evils.
There are ways that we could have kept the Lodi pair here and gathered much info from them. They should not have been released to fight again.

I am sure your assesment is correct in that ways could have been found to retain the creep and his son. But perhaps that was in fact done, and decided we had no legit reason to retain the guy for prosecution on some given charge, that would hold up in a court of law, so the alternative was to deport him.
