When I was a little girl, a neighbor boy threw a rock at me and hit me in the forehead. I still have the scar. After running home and getting a bandaid and kisses from my mom, I went out and beat the snot out of him. That finished it. End of story. The parents didn't even talk about it.
Today we would probably both be in jail.
