Car with Confederate flag kicked, stoned in Rochester

ROCHESTER, Minn. -— Three men face charges after being accused of damaging a car that displayed the Confederate flag in Rochester.

Police said a woman approached two people in a parked car, upset over the flag. The people sitting in the car told police the woman threatened to "get her boys to take care of it.''

I met Mr.H. K. Egerton and his brother Terry on his march from North Carolina to Texas couple of years back , just out side of Selma Alabama . The police were looking for trouble when he marched into Selma , but were they surprised when other blacks and Sons of Confederate veterans fell in and marched with him . I walked a short distance with him and left a donation .

I don't really have a dog in this hunt. Great grandaddy emigrated from Ireland late last century...mom emigrated here from Ireland in mid 50's. I'm American. I just find it curious how some peeps have this inborn hatred of "Yankees". I get a kick out of the term Yankee. In some parts of the world... us "Yanks" are STILL held in high regard...and I don't want to upset you southerners here on this thread.... YOU are considered "Yanks" just as much as me. I've been to a few countries where kids will gather at your feet and yell cheerfully "Yankee"...and "Hey Joe"...

Anyway... I'm not a hippie... I don't smoke, don't drink much... I'm conservative and my one vice is fast bikes.
