Here is another interesting question:
2 Kings 2:11 And Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.
Gen. 5:24 Enoch walked with God; then he was no more, because God took him away.
If these two were assumed into Heaven (we presume although some will fight this saying only Christ was assumed into heaven), why do some protest that Mary could never have been assumed into heaven? The Catholic principle is established. Some figures can be assumed into heaven bodily.
Scripture does not say that Mary WAS assumed. However, it also does not say she WAS NOT. No relics of her are ever claimed to exist.

He went up (ascended) while Elijah, Enoch and Mary were only taken up (assumed).
